How it works
People hide booster packs on their websites. You wander from site to site, open the packs, and keep the cards in a binder. If you have a website, you can hide a pack on it too.
If you collect
You find packs on websites
- 1Make an account. It's free, and your binder starts empty.
- 2Find a site with a pack. The map and Browse list every site that has one.
- 3A small pack sits in the corner of the page. Open it. There's always a card inside: usually a Common, now and then a Legendary.
- 4The card goes in your binder. Finish sets, and trade your doubles with other collectors.
- 5Tired of looking for the pack on every site? The browser extension spots them for you.
If you have a website
You put a pack on your site
- 1Make a deck in the dashboard. It's free.
- 2Upload art for each card, or keep the drawn art it starts with, and choose how often each rarity drops.
- 3Copy one line of code and paste it into your site.
- 4People who visit can open a pack. Some come back for the card they didn't get.
What's in a pack
Every pack holds one card, in one of five rarities. These are the usual odds; each site owner can tune their own deck within limits we set.
- Common60%
- Uncommon25%
- Rare10%
- Epic4%
- Legendary1%
Nobody can rig it
Packs are rolled on our server, not on the website, so neither the site nor anyone visiting it can choose the card.
Bad luck runs out
20 cards from one deck without a Rare, and the next one is a Rare or better.
Where the packs are
The map and Browse list every site with a pack. Each set shows which sites it drops on, so finishing one means visiting them.
Questions people ask
Do I need an account to collect?
No. You can open packs straight away and we keep what you find in this browser. Make an account (or sign in) whenever you like and everything you found comes with you. Until then, clearing your cookies would lose it.
Is every pack worth opening?
Yes. Every pack holds a card. Most are Commons, which is what makes the rare ones feel like a find, and every card counts toward its set.
Can I open the same site's pack again?
Yes, every few hours. One pack per site per person, then it refills after a while.
What does “Save for later” do?
It keeps the pack sealed in your stash so you can open it whenever you want. What's inside is already decided, so opening it later gives exactly what opening it now would have. You can hold up to 50 sealed packs.
Can a site owner give themselves, or their friends, the good cards?
No. Every pack is rolled on our server, never on the website. Owners choose their odds, but there's a ceiling: Legendaries can never be more than 3% of the cards a deck gives out, and Epics never more than 10%.
Is there a guaranteed Rare?
Yes. If you've found 20 cards in a row from one deck without a Rare or better, the next card from that deck will be one. Owners can change that number for their deck.
Who can see my binder?
Only you, until you switch it to public on your binder page. A public binder can be looked through by other collectors, and they can offer you trades.
How do trades work?
Open someone's public binder, pick the cards you want and what you'll give, and send the offer. They can accept, decline or send different terms back. Cards only move once you've both agreed to the same terms, and if one of them has gone by then (traded to someone else), the trade doesn't happen.
Do I need the browser extension?
No. Every pack works without it. The extension saves you looking for the pack on each page: it notices packs while you browse, lets you open them right there, and shows your sealed packs in its menu. Get the extension.
I have a website. What does putting a pack on it cost?
Nothing. During the beta each account can have 2 decks of up to 30 cards, on up to 3 sites (or any site, if you allow it).
Will the pack slow down or change my site?
It's one small script that loads after your page and draws a pack in a corner you choose. It doesn't read your page, set its own cookies on your site, or show ads. Opening a pack happens in a small window on our side.
What does the browser extension see?
It checks each page you visit for a Wanderlust pack and nothing else. It doesn't read or send what's on the page. When you open a pack it tells us which site you were on, so the card knows where it was found.
